A new NBC/WSJ poll shows that President Bush is more a liability to the candidacy of John McCain than Rev. Jeremiah Wright is to Barack Obama.

In the survey, 43 percent of registered voters say they have major concerns that McCain is too closely aligned with the current administration.

Actually, it's unfair to compare the alliance between John McCain and President Bush to that between Sen. Obama and Rev. Wright. After all, Barack Obama is not campaigning to become the next pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
