For those of you who aren't familiar with Toledo politics, Carleton "Carty" Finkbeiner is the outgoing -- in more ways than one -- mayor of the city. He's been a fixture in Toledo for as long as I can remember with a varied career -- I remember when he was a sixth-grade teacher at Maumee Valley Country Day School in the early 1960's -- and he's belonged to just about every political party there is. So "wine flu" doesn't surprise me in the least.
